Our starting point for this walk was Roehead. We started walking in a North East direction towards Winder Green and then Heugh Scar before eventually arriving at Heughscar Hill. From here we continued West and then South towards a stone circle known as The Cockpit. From here we continued West towards Barton Park and followed the path to White Knott before eventually arriving at Arthur's Pike where we stopped for our lunch.
After our lunch, we continued towards Swarth Beck and finally onto Bonscale Pike. From here we then headed South East towards another stone circle. We all had a giggle when we arrived as there were only 3 upright stones so it wasn't exactly a circle. It did make for some good photos though as the sun was shining and there were dark clouds above. After the stone circle, we then joined the Roman Road back towards The Cockpit. We then headed West back to the car at Roehead.
